BioMADE is a nonprofit public-private partnership that works with its nationwide network of members and partners to strengthen domestic bioindustrial manufacturing. Our mission is to enable domestic bioindustrial manufacturing at all scales, develop technologies that enhance U.S. bioindustrial competitiveness, de-risk investment in relevant infrastructure, and expand the biomanufacturing workforce. BioMADE is home to the Department of War’s bioindustrial manufacturing innovation institute and is a member of the Manufacturing USA network.

BioMADE supports its members and government in advancing bio-based products, chemicals, and materials toward domestic manufacturing and use. Our work often centers on products relevant to national security and defense needs, while work with broader federal agencies and industry also advances economic security and industrial growth. We bring together technical expertise, manufacturing infrastructure, and a broad national ecosystem to help promising products overcome barriers to scale-up, manufacturing, and adoption.
